We are located in Okawville Illinois which is about 40 miles directly east of St Louis along Interstate 64. Laura and I have been married since 1987 and have two sons Cameron & Connor. Cameron is an elementary school teacher. Connor is attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale and will be graduating in May 2017 with a degree in Accounting. We are active in the community and our church. We have been especially involved in athletics as our sons have each played Basketball, Baseball and Golf as they were growing up.
Through the years we have raised Cocker Spaniels, German Shepherds and now Golden Retrievers for the last 12+ years. We are not a large kennel or even “full time” breeders. We have a few very good quality dogs. We live out in the country on a forty acre farm which was originally owned by my grandparents. Our dogs are our pets and take full advantage of the 40 acres of space.
Due to the amount of time we have dedicated to our sons’ athletics and academics as well as our many civic commitments, we have not been real active in the showing or competitive training of our dogs . We have recently started though to venture into both of these as we have earned both a show and an obedience title on our Hungarian Import male Jack Buck as well as on some of our females. Our breeding program is committed to raising dogs of only the highest quality. Animals capable of competing in the show, in competition, or just to be a great family companion.
See our Golden Retriever pages for more information about our breeding program.
